Spanish Council Launches Lessons in Self Love

Local authorities in Extremadura who launched a ‘pleasure is in your own hands’ program teaching teenagers how to masturbate properly, were ridiculed this week by top Barcelona commentator and ex politician Pilar Rahola.

"Extremadura should be pleased with itself," Ms Rahola scoffed in a column published in La Vanguardia newspaper, “It may have the most unemployed young people in Spain but they will be the best at masturbation,” she quipped.

The acclaimed opinion former’s denigration of onanism came just as London listings magazine Time Out published the results of their latest annual sex survey which confirmed that the majority of Londoners are work-obsessed wankers.

“46% of women have masturbated at work,” the magazine revealed, “As have 64% of men.”

Last year British magazine Male Health warned that masturbation can be addictive and cautioned male practitioners to limit themselves to a ‘hand, some massage oil or baby oil and their imagination’.

“Nearly every casualty nurse has a story about a guy who claims to have been cleaning the house naked and have fallen over onto the vacuum cleaner with embarrassing results,” said Male Health, “None of the nurses believe these stories,” they added.

Qatar religious leader Sheik Yousuf Al-Qaradhawi instead highlighted the dangers of female masturbation on Qatar TV recently, in an interview subsequently posted on Youtube.

“Sometimes women insert fingers and playing with it may tear it (the hymen),” the Sheik explained.
