Police raid Guest House in Sundhara

Police have raided Seti-Mahakali Guest House in Sundhara and recovered various materials including petrol, empty bottles, catapult and marbles, Thursday.
 
Metropolitan Police Range Kathmandu organised a press conference and displayed the seized materials, Thursday evening. Kathmandu Police chief Superintendent (SP) Ramesh Kharel claimed the materials were stored for use in May 1 or future protests.
 
Police said, they recovered 400 litres of petrol, 2 sacs of marbles, 10 sacs of empty bottles, saw dust and cotton clothes from room no. 103 of the guest house. The room was booked in the name of Krishna Ghimire, Kupandole yesterday.
 
Guest house owner Ajab Pande has been arrested for investigation.
 
Maoist leader Nanda Kishor Pun denied party’s involvement in the bringing and storing such materials.  
 
Talking to a TV channel, Pun said, we have no policy to bring and use such material in this agitation as we have pledged to make the agitation peaceful.
 
We will investigate if any of our cadres brought the materials against the party policy or the administration plotted against us to suppress the agitation by showing falsely we were preparing to make the agitation violent, he added. nepalnews.com
