Solution to Nepal's problem

@grgDai: totally agree with you there. there is a huge gap in the overall education of our country. and it IS one of the things that *should* be in the top priority list of our nation's *leaders*. (i dunno, are these things public information? :S i.e - leaders haru ko priority lists).

While that is important, I also feel that our country needs a revision of our infrastructure. From roads to communication towers to city layout. And not just Kathmandu. I am from Kathmandu but I feel unfair that most of these leaders only do things in and around kathmandu and thats the reason for this congestion that we see today.

Roads are pivotal in a country's development. Now, I'm not talking from experience but seeing these excellent systems in place, highways freeways, sometimes made me think what if we had ONE BIG highway (call it the spine) from east to  west (yes I know thats the arniko highway). And along this spine, branch it north or south to the various towns that lie around there. If we can have a good transportation network it will boost business and hopefully we can slowly stop depending on dhotiland to provide us for needles and salt.

Fixing of krishnabhir is also cruicial. maybe there is another major point of access into ktm that I'm at this point not aware of, but every time that darn mountain goes down, the entire city of kathmandu is cut off from the rest of the country! Some bottleneck!

Anyways, we definitely have a long way to go. I was thinking of going into detail of a couple of things in my head, but not feeling that motivated (Monday morning at work). I will keep an eye on this thread. grgDai, some more intellectual discussions to look forward to :)

and @Morange: Although I see what your saying, and it is a feasible option (being part of one of the future superpower nations of the world), I think our Nepali people have at least some sense of patriotism to keep that as a last resort. :) Myself included, I wouldn't really be happy to lose our cultural identity, but then history has record of millions who did, so lets see what happens! :)

cheers.
