I just switched (today) from GEICO to Progreesive and saved 146 dollars.

One thing is sure from last 7 years - the more you shop, the more you save. and I have also found out switching to different compnaies in 6 months intervals or 1 year saves and gives you lowest rate. Its like different companies have different discounts and pragrammes. So do all kind of shoppings.

Also, recemnndend for first time insurance users - add your name and vechile to alreday existing persons name, if they are willing to add you. THis saves money.

Also, if u do a group insurance, it saves too. But there is a risk.

Another, find some local and small insurance company or if not, find someone who is a licnesed insurer for other companies. They usually provide lots of discounts. One scenerio - my frd was unmarried, and the insurance guy put him married, saved a hugh amount.
