"If I took one year Pre OPT; that equals 6 month Post OPT" who told you this? As far as I know, 1 year of Pre-OPT = 1 year of Post-OPT; meaning if you have taken 1 year of Pre-OPT, you don't get any regular Post-OPT. I was told that "the total OPT time, including pre and post OPT, is 12 months unless u r in STEM"
I don't have any personal experience with Pre-OPT so you might want to talk to the international student office to double-check the info I provided.. Good luck!!
