It is ludicrousness beyond measure to expect perfect leaders from an imperfect society as ours. Leaders are reflections of the society you live in, of which you are a part of. They are one among us. Girija, just like us, had his share of weaknesses. That doesn't mean he deserves this ostracization. Yes, we have democracy, but its premature. Yes, we have an independent nation, but its bounded in the magnanimity of two gargantuan nations. Yes, there is no dearth of creativity, but we are banished by our necessities and priorities.

Democracy needs time to flourish; to drive it towards fruition. It's easy to play the blame game; even easier to sit in the comfort of a revolving chair and direct others, point fingers towards those working to clear the mess in your own room.

Nepalese should quit this habit of blaming others for the mess and focus on their own duties and responsibilities. We need to transform to a society, where everyone, not just leaders and people in power, feel responsible of their duties and could be held accountable for any misconducts.

May his soul rest in eternal peace.
