I am not sure about what chemical to use, but they can survive for long long time without drinking blood once they feed and they can live in smaller cracks available. I had to call exterminator when i had it once. I had to move room for a month, throw the mattress and furniture and laundry all the clothes  and dry in extra high temperature. Get some expert help. These are some nasty bugs, hard to get rid by yourself.
