I just finished my masters and recently found a job, but the employer is not willing to sponsor H1B until they "observe" how I work for a few months. However, the problem is that I am not a  STEM graduate and I fear that the H1B quota for this year will run out by the time my employer is convinced in order to file H1b for me. Not being on STEM will not allow me to extend my opt either. So here's my question.

Can I join a second masters next Jan and go on CPT with the same employer and file H1b in April 2011? 

What do you guys think?
