Nepal should be secular, federal and republican. What I cannot understand is why people are scared to decide these issues once and for all through a referendum or referenda. I firmly believe that we can use this opportunity to finally make sure people like Kamal Thapa shut up once and for all. I am as certain that the Maoists are terrorists as I am certain of the fact that the referenda will finally ensure that people like Kamal Thapa accept the fact that Nepal will never be Hindu, unitary or monarchical. Perhaps commentators on this thread like Timer may be perfectly entitled to support Maoist terrorists, but they nonetheless should explain why they don’t support the call for referenda, even if such calls do happen to emanate from toerags like Mr. Thapa. What are you scared of?
