It has similar story about Melamchi Water Project, local people had some demand and was halted for couple months. In past couple hydro projects were discontinued even after spending millions dollar.
Any cities in Nepal like Kathmandu are full of gangsters, local and internationals, even 5-10 k Nepali rupees is enough to hire a killer. It will be the worst city in the world to live, in spite of this the price of the land is rocketed. Any body can collect ransom for no reason, I felt, we were the live actors of Bollywood movies.
