Well as far as voilence is concerned our relgion (hinduism) is not great. One thing i don't like hinduism is
we celebrate killings.  Ram killed rawan, krishna killed kansa, durga killed bhasmasur...................this killed that blah blah.

And we celebrate.  This is so wrong. At this day and age and in 21st century we should at least stop to celebrate killings. I still like festivals like dashain. But i don't celebrate dashain because ram killed Rawan. Now see, rawan was not bad person for everybody. One person can be good for one but bad for other.

Another thing is we give Bali. We should stop killing animals in such a large proportion.  Ok we have to eat meat. But eat what you need and not be forced to slaughter large number.

I think buddhism and Christianity is a lot better in this regard.
