Prachanda is a MAN with GUTS
Unified CPN (Maoist) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has said his party’s
campaign in favour of the nationalism and national sovereignty will
continue until India returns the encroached land.

After
inspecting the encroached border in Mahakali on Monday morning, Dahal
said the campaign was not against any friendly neighouring countries
but rather for national sovereignty.

“The campaign is not to seize other’s land but to restore Nepal’s land seized by others,” he said.

He
claimed continued encroachment of the border areas by the Indian side
was the result of the incapability of the former feudal rulers.

In
another mass gathering held by the party in Mahendranagar, Dahal
compared the Maoist’s people’s war with the war fought by late King
Prithvi Narayan Shah while in his unification campaign.

He
further said, though British left India years ago, the British
mentality in India has not yet changed to see others on equal status.
“We just want equal treatment, not big brother and small brother,”
Dahal said.

Dahal claimed he had received the offer for lifetime
premiership but refused it in favour of national sovereignty and
nationalism that resulted into ouster of his party from the government.

He
also mentioned that step taken by president Dr Ram Baran Yadav to
reinstate the then army chief was as per the direction give by foreign
powers.

Maoists have dispatched five top leaders to five border
points to inspect encroached land and organise mass gathering against
such encroachment.

Senior vice chairman Mohan Baidhya addressed
a similar gathering in Mechi, vice chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai in
Susta and vice chairman Narayan Kaji Shrestha in Laxmanpur dam.
