Buddha was born in what is NOW Nepal. Wasn't he a prince of his OWN country when he was born?

Buddhism was born in India (Bodh Gaya.)

But what does it matter anyway, when Nepalese are so intent on killing each other, and killing bhaisis and bakhras every chance they get, while Buddha preached non-violence? Why so much fervor to claim his birth while dissing what he preached?
