I guess u are not allowed to file 1040 while u are in F-1.
Once you start working, i am not sure u still can file 1040 right away from day 1. U need to pass the substantial presence test as outlined in Form 8843 by IRS.
One can refer to Univ of texas, austin website for details on filing tax while on F-1.
