I am surprised that BetterNepal is providing crappy tax advice here without even knowing what he is talking about.

Students who are in F1 status should file form 1040NR-EZ without exception. After staying full 5 years in the United States, you can file as a resident (form 1040) for tax purpose. If you are a permanent resident you can use 1040 (there is first year different rule).

There are so many other flaws on BetterNepal's advice but I do not have that much time to go over each of them.
