Swine flu vaccine will kill you

Bikash ji,

The information you have referenced here are not considered reliable. The information provided by CDC, WHO and other public health organizations are well researched and based on the evidences. Public health organizations make their recommendations looking at people at large not a single individual. If you vaccinate 100 million people and 10 got unwanted health hazards after the vaccine, your arguement is looking at those 10 people and the recommendations from public health organizations are looking at those 99+ million people. Below are my 2-cents;

a.) The production was rushed- May be yes- but if it was not rushed, more and more people would have dead by now. In US alone, more than 10,000 people are dead- if the vaccines were available earlier, several of those deaths could have been avoided.

b.) Autism and Swine flu vaccine- this scenario has not been studied so far. Moreover, your assertment that autism has been increased dramatically in the past decade does not have anything to do with swine flu vaccines. Because swine flu outbreak does not happen every year and thus people won't get immunization against swine flu like seasonal influenza.

c.) Swine flue vaccine and immune system alteration:- There is no epidemiological evidence to prove that these vaccine would cause deaths altering immune system- that is just a baseless argument.

d.) 1976 Swine flu vaccine and death- Yes there were 25 deaths among people after vaccination. However you should look at the total number of people (about 50 millions) who were vaccinated in 1976, 25 deaths seems to be pretty low. Of course, I believe we all know that there is risk with each medication,whether small or big. In medical science, researcher do evaluate risk/benefit ratio. If benefit is much higher then it may be advisable to take small risk. However, this differs case by case. If you have a heart attack, your doctor may advise you to have a surgery, which itself has a risk of death. And it is up to you if you want to take a risk of dying due to heart attack or a risk of dying while under surgery!

e.) Alternative treatment- yes you can minimize the spread of the disease by taking enough preventative measures or precautions. Yes you can spread swine flu to your family and friends if you are suffering. The best thing would be to stay home and take good care of yourself. Drink enough fluids, get good rest and stay away from gatherings.

f.) GBS and swine flu vaccine- There are some evidence that says there is a relationship between shine flu vaccine and Guilliam Barre Syndrome (a neurological disorder). However, no one knows the causal pathway. I believe that this year there were about 10-15 cases of GBS after hundreds of millions of vaccination.

The main point here is, yes all vaccine bears small risk of other unwanted health problems. However, you should take an account of the benefits it provides. I would suggest to look at the benefits too while talking at risks and decide whats best for you.
