try this too
The first thing that we need to do is to reset the IE defaults.  Open IE and click on Tools and then click Internet Options.  Go to the Advanced tab and locate the Reset Internet Explorer Defaults heading and click the Reset button.  Restart IE and navigate to a sight with Java.  Does the site display properly?  If it does we are done, if it doesn’t we need to try running IE without add-ons.

Troubleshooting IE without Add-ons

Click on Start, All Programs, Accessories, System Tools, and click Internet Explorer no Add-ons.  Navigate to a page with Java and enable ONLY the Java add-on.  Does the page display properly?  If it does then we know another add-on is causing the problem.

Locating the Problem Add-On

Restart IE normally, then click “Tools” on the Menu Bar and select Manage Add-ons.  Disable all of your add-ons and then re-enable them 1 at a time until you locate the add-on causing your problem.
