Maybe this needs a bump up or two?

I just checked the discussion group page and it looked like it started out pretty well; but nothing much seemed to happen since October. Just thinking out loud and typing here, how about doing a webex like session every Sunday evening or so, for 30-60 minutes? Maybe that would help facilitate realtime communication, better participation, and more information exchange.

DimDim(www.dimdim.com) offers a 'free' presentation sharing application version, which allows a presenter to share his/her desktop, and participants to dial in and listen, as well as browse to a site and watch the live demo at the same time. I'm not sure if the free version allows switching the presenter while a session is in progress (in case a second user needs to run a demo), which could be a 'cool' deal, but almost all of the other fundamental features seem to be offered by this tool.

If the current approach is working well, then there's no need to consider the alternatives, otherwise I strongly suggest trying one of these live sessions out. This could additionally help form a new kind of social network within Sajha. Afterall we're in the Social e-Networking age these days.

Lastly, I can help coordinate this with enough support, and possibly contribute anything I can to get this kicked off.
