It's in our hands to show our culture is not cruel. The whole world is laughing at us because of these bloody traditions. Even indian government has banned the animal sacrifices in many hindu temples in bihar. There was one interesting statement by an indian women in today's NPR. She said something like, 'why even the middle-class in UK was also donating to so much for disaster-relief programs in India when even the upper-class in India didn't donate even a rupee?' Perhaps the reasons for we, south asians, lying behind the human race, can be explained by these questions.  

People arguing in the favor of gadimai's animal sacrifice here must be the same people in their past generations who perhaps voted in favor of "sati pratha" and gave the similar logic in the name of culture and majority following it.

We ask why we nepalese are lagging behind. The answer simply doesn't lie only in politics; it is also rooted in our culture and our way of thinking.

How can killing an animal make god happy? Aren't all living beings equal in the eyes of god? Therefore, it can only be the satan, not god.
