time my friend time..

there are no magic bullets, no shortcuts. we are meant to go through whatever we are going through. someday they will make sense. meanwhile, try and focus on things that are within your reach. I read a lot through my depression. For me it was the realization that there is so much more outside and focusing on my sadness alone was insignifiant. But misery is so addictive, it makes you feel alive. When I am happy, after a while, i hit the plateau. and everything comes to a halt. Express your sorrow.. because there is no better muse than a broken heart (if that applies).

besides that... yeah keep yourself busy.. meet people you LIKE and don't mind you moping around for long periods of time. cuz some of my friends were highly irritated by my behavior. you need to be with chill people who dont depend on you completely for their happiness. If possible, try and help people out. Its self righteous i know, but there is this unbelievable sense of accomplishment that you can bask in the glory of when you help others. I volunteered. they always need volunteers.

See, broken heart is one thing. And severe depression is another. severe depression is a medical condition and if things go bad-- you have to get help. But the medics didnt work on me. Music, books, a handful of people, nature and good deed cured me. I still am addicted to bouts of depression where I want to lock myself in a room and just smoke my lungs tar black.. but i think that is normal... we all go through those ups and downs.... and as for the broken heart... always remember, broken hearts mend if you give them time.... dont force it. dont rush it.
