Snowfed, I was only answering Quagmire's 2-part question when I wrote

Then nepthug came demanding citation for the second part and hence my response. If he were to look at the highest stipends, of course he'd have to look at sites of the top schools and not some random state school.
I can only write about what I know about. If the thread had asked for average stipend, then I would not have replied at all because I don't know what it is.
Blahblah, you are right about the stipends having to be in sync with living expenses. I am at a school in the northeast.
