Hello Bro , I have found a way and would like to share with you. That is, mindfulness meditation. try to put aside like 15 mins a day for your brain, preferably in the morning. sit on a meditation pasture and close your eyes and focus on breathing. when you breath out count 1, then 2 and so on till 10. try to go till 10 with out breaking your concentration. if something comes on your mind go back to 1. don't torture yourself tho. always think that this will help you out and it will. at first it is difficult and you will feel like it wont work, silly etc etc.. but try this for like 15 days and see how you it will change your life.
when you are  meditating think of emotions and thoughts coming as bubbles from the bottom of the water and bursting as they come up. don't try to control, when you get distracted simply and gently bring your attention back to breathing and continue. your brain might want to play with you but gently bring it to the breathing and tell your self there might be 100 pressing matters in your life but right now for 15 mins breathing is your priority and concentrate on that. try not to think anything and be emotionless at that moment but again the thoughts will come , let them come and go like the bubbles in water but focus on breathing.
the mindfulness meditation will make you enjoy your present and help you focus on things that you need to. you will realize that future is uncertain, and past is just mental fabrication, cuz it's gone and u don't have access to it. what matters is present cuz this present will be tomorrow's -yesterday , and tomorrow u can't change this, but right now u can, so make the best out of the present. present is the only truth and something u have access to.. just my two cents.. these thoughts and practices have helped me a lot in my life, i hope the same for you..
if you ever go to Borders book store check out a book by David Michie, it's called "Hurry up and meditate"... it's an amazing book

good luck and may u feel peace
