What Happen to Argentina....

Argentina’s fate will be decided on their last match, an away game against Uruguay, which is also lurking to qualify for South Africa. Argentina host Peru on their next match and should easily bag 3 points from that game.  Therefore, it all comes down to “do or die” situation during the match against Uruguay.

Anybody who follows Football genuinely knows that Argentina is not an overrated team. It had and still has abundance of world class players with the likes of Messi, highly regarded as the best player in the world, Tevez, Aguero, and Zanetti to name a few. Personally, I think Maradona’s lack of coaching experience and his unconvincing team selection approach are the main reasons behind Argentina’s recent downfall. He has surprised many fans and players themselves with his selections. Leaving out Real Madrid’s hit man Higuian, Inter’s Samuel and Cambiasso, exclusion of Riquelme due to an on-going feud,  and a recent inclusion of Martin Palermo have been taken as laughable acts by many.

Being a long time admirer of Argentina, I still believe that they have enough ingredients to make it to the World Cup and will somehow secure a place in South Africa next year. But to achieve any further success, they have to look for another coach. GO ARGENTINA!
