Transportation has been obstructed after the SSB excavated the no man’s land through Gulariya municipality – Mathurahari neat border pillar no. 61 and about 1.5 metres in four villages of Nepal land. The villages lie some three kilometers from the border.

The Nepal Police had stopped when the SSB was excavating. The SSB showed reasons of smuggling control and internal security, according to Mathurahari police post incharge Basanta Singh.

A local Narayan Lodh said the SSB has started to beat up farmers in Nepali soil for bringing fertiliser materials from India.

The SSB has beefed up security in the border area stating fake Indian currencies are being used in the market. It has set up camps at every two kilometers.

Although the border entry point at Gulariya – Murtiha and Rajapur – Katarniyagha, security has been beefed up at other points.
