- So how r u going to maintain ur Status from Oct 1 to mid-oct(the date when ur OPT Expires). In any case i think ur Sevis is Going to be terminated on Sept30,2009(Presuming ur Start date is Oct 1st 2009)..Here is how it works..Once ur H1 Petition is Approved USCIS send notification to ur School that ur H1b is approved and USCIS system Terminates ur Sevis Record on Sept30,2009(Doesn't matter whether or not u have COS)..Did u talk to ur DSO about this..U r swimming in dangerous waters...First Sort out this thing..
- Talk to an Immigration lawyer ASAP..
Then Worry about Joinig some Cheap colleges...
