Nepe jee,

What spoils the fun is your tendency to stray into using such gratuitous terms as Chetrri-Bahun. That in itself may be a very poor excuse for persisting with your own khasism, but surely that is no less disingenuous than, say, lumping Gurungs with Newars or Tharus with Magars. Agreed that we can lump everyone somewhere, but let’s start by respecting diversity, not by ignoring it just because it suits our agenda. None of this, however, changes one jot what bahunism is really about and in that sense your second point has wider relevance in that, for example, a Limbu supremacist who treats non-Limbus as second class individuals in their version of Limbu-lebensraum is no less a bahunist than a Updadhya bahun who considers a Jaisee bitalu. In both cases you would have seen how a key bahunist trait, the “chi chi, dur dur pan”, inevitably ends up calibrating/conditioning the underlying relationships. That being the lesson for the day, it should be glaringly obvious that all of us, including chatoor Khadkas, are equally capable of picking-up bad habits along the way.
