Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said the current coalition government is committed to establishing peace and stability in the country.

In his inaugural speech at the International Conference on Enhancing Resource Effectiveness jointly organised by Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FNCCI) and International Journal of Industrial Engineering in the capital Tuesday PM Nepal said peace and stability was vital for accelerating economic development.

He further said heavy foreign investment was necessary for rapid economic development and expressed commitment on part of the government to do everything possible to facilitate more foreign investment.

He stressed that foreign investment must be invited in hydropower generation for economic development and creating employment opportunities.

Stating that government is ready to create investment friendly environment in the country, Nepal sought help from all sectors towards this end.

PM Nepal further said, the government is investing more on infrastructure, solving the problem of power shortage and improving the law and order situation.nepalnews.com
