I'd suggest you to go to Moorhead first and you'll meet tons of nepalese looking for roommates or they'll help you find an apartment for you..You dont' have to do it right now. Just go there and you're all set. There are many nepalese in Moorhead.
Dont' forget to bring some warm clothes.
