Dance Zone, I am neither a friend nor a relative of either the victim or the defendant..  Purush is correct about me.  I was on the jury.  I heard the tape in the court room and then several times during deliberations....  Our verdicts were based almost completely on that phone call.  I really wish you would quit referring to the victim by her name.  She has been victimized by his family enough and does not deserve to have her name plastered all over the internet by you.  A few things that noone has heard yet...

Ajay was arrested twice, the last time being after he bailed out of jail and immediately began making threatening phone calls to the victims family in Nepal to make the whole thing go away.  he went so far as to tell them that they would end up in the same place she was in if it did not go away.

There was an assualt outside of the USA which the victim had never mentioned.  It was the defense attorney who brought the attack up and she admitted that it had happened and she had not mentioned it before.  The defencse attorney used that as something that she may have lied about.  Question is, how did he know about it?  The only way he would have known was if the defendant told him about it...

Once the victim had gone to Nepal for a wedding, he just happened to be in Nepal staying with a family member when that person made a police report about her and she was arrested.  A birthdate issue on her passport.  She was stranded in Nepal for a year and a half.  During this time, his family here began a letter writing campaign to keep her out of the US.  Ajay even went so far as to offer her to have her education paid for if she agreed to go to Canada and stay there for a number of years (statute of limitations).  Why would he do that for someone who had claimed he raped her for 5 years unless he wanted her to keep quiet?

I want everyone to know that he did receive a fair trial. He admitted to having sex with her after he claimed that the entire story was made up and that NOTHING ever happened between them.  Once we heard the phone call, we all knew his defense had gone to hell...  Had it been for her testimony alone, he would not be where he is now.  There would be no proof.  It was listening to him on a 45 minute phone call that put him there....

I have seen people write that had she come to them before, they would support her.  Problem being, that is the exact opposite of what happened.  Everyone in the extended family completely shunned her and have not spoken to her since....
