@ mardshab I really appreciate putting forward serious discussion.

It is true that as you have pointed are many newars are well off or either just to ignorant when it comes to politics and some do not want to dwell on this issue considering it be a sensitive one which could easily spark an emotional debate..

I also agree with your statement of "current situation with composition of
bureaucracy, judiciary and army, many of the ethnic groups,
particularly the marginalized ones, do not see their future with the
status quo or merely cosmetic changes in the government system" and successive reforms has brought nothing.

I know it's totally hard for a person from marginalized society to move up the ladders and something must be done to tackle issue of equality. I still support local governance and genuine demands of the marginalized groups that
will truly begin the process of integrating them into the mainstream.

BUT SERIOUSLY do you think this ethnic federalism will answer this serious issue..when the whole issue was brought just to get marginalized people fired up..by political parties to gain some points lead...which seems to have back fired very badly.

I seriously believe the concept of dividing can't do any good. And no matter how you divide, there will always be unsatisfied people. What if there is a big chunk of ethnic people who have no major stronghold in number of population and distributed through out the whole country.

where can they relate to????????

Besides what about sub division of ethinic people?
People of Terai want madesh pradesh, then Tharu want their own..and I don't mean tharu people's wish isn't legitimate  but things like this creates more and more division and ultimately we have factured country and more ethnic tension for independant representation..

And during this fragile period when country has just been fresh off civil war, do you really want ethinic representation by the means of ethnic federalism??
 when in hisory we have seen so many times autonomous region branching off as a new country...

So mardshab tell me is this fear mongering or the real truth ??

Do you think our so called leaders can deliver the genuine demands of the marginalized groups?

 I still believe there needs better representation of all people in every aspect of state and grip of creamy layer on all facets must be checked..It is only possible when people of all ethinicity become aware and I don't deny there has been lots of cultural injustice..

But again..if some educated fool tries to advocate ethnic fedelarism....let the b!tchslapping begin....
