KATHMANDU, June 22 - Police
on Monday made public the perpetrators behind the kidnapping and
subsequent murder of Khyati Shrestha, a teenage girl, who was found
dead 18 days after her abduction.

Police
arrested Biren Shrestha Pradhan, a teacher at AVM College, and Merina
Shakya on the charge of kidnapping Shrestha, a student of Jubilant
Higher Secondary School (JHSS). The recovery of Khyati's headless torso
at Bungamati VDC-1, Laliptur district on Sunday afternoon triggered
streets protest in the capital on Monday.
Shrestha, 18, was abducted some 18 days ago, and her torso was recovered from Bungmati-1 in Lalitpur on Sunday.
