From the wife's
perspective:

Our View : My husband is my God “Pati
Parmeshor”, those garbage moral from Bollyhood movies.
So she will end up taking care of him despite everything. There will
be sad music at the background, and she will be the half widow (may
be white sari and smashing the bangles on the floor).

American View: She will be tempted to
pull the plug and end his life. The equality of sexes, eye for an eye
Judeo-Christian belief might influence her decision. But the chances
are slim. She'll instead abide with the law and God Damn SOB's case
will enter the realm of never ending issue of Church and State.

From the social
perspective:

Our View: Badla...aka Revenge....the
mob will kill him in the name of justice and being “Kaalank” in
the name of mankind. There might be some julus and tire burning at
the street if it is in the city.

American View: He will be kept on the
life support. The case will be highly debated on major news and media
by the religious groups and the liberals. Some states are passing the
law of “assisted suicide” and if he happens to be from that
state, with the consent of 2 certified state doctors, they can literally pull his plug. His wife will have no saying in that case.
