Information for Visa Applicants

Foreigners who intend to travel to the Schengen countries (Austria – Belgium – France –

Germany – Greece – Italy – Iceland – Denmark – Finland - Norway – Sweden – Luxemburg –

The Netherlands – Portugal – Spain – Estonia – Latvia – Lithuania - Poland - Hungary –

Czechia - Slovakia - Slovenia and Malta) for private or business purposes may receive a visa

for these countries valid for one day or up to 90 days. The visa may allow a single entry, two

or multiple entries.

This Embassy receives your visa application if your main destination is

Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg or the Netherlands.

Holders of valid Schengen visas issued by any one of the above mentioned countries do not

require an additional transit visa (category A or B) to transit any other Schengen country. A

transit visa is required if a foreigner wishes to travel through a Schengen country in transit on

the way to a non-Schengen country. If remaining at the airport, Nepalese citizens do not

need to obtain a transit visa, unless remaining in the transit area in Benelux.

It is not possible to change the purpose of the visa request after submitting the application.

There is no legal claim to obtain a visa.
