St Xavier's parents call for dialogue
The Parents' Council of the St Xavier's School, Lalitpur, has asked the
agitating teachers affiliated with Nepal Institutional School Teachers
Union (NISTU) to sit for dialogue instead of closing down the schools.
In a press meet Thursday, council's general secretary Kumar Pandey urged
the agitators to act responsibly keeping in view the future of hundreds of
students and vowed that parents would not allow the school to shut
further.
NISTU called strike in valley schools following the decision of St
Xavier's school management to expel a teacher, Binayak Chhetri, alleging
him of violating the school rule.
Father Lawrence of the school said they have fulfilled all 19 demands
forwarded by the union according to the regulation issued by education
ministry.
Officials of the PABSON and NPABSON also urged the agitators to sit for

Now you can't even fire someonw who has violated the rules. Not very sure what actually happened but hey, what is wrong with people these days? Even teachers are against the basic rights of students because it's their own fault. Shame on these so called teachers. It never used to be like this before.
