I remember listening to the telephone interview with one of the Mumbai attackers from Nariman House few months ago. He was repeatedly bringing up the Gujarat massacre issue during the interview and was asking the journalist where he had been when hundreds of his Muslim brothers were being killed there.
Looking at the video, Marx's word comes to my mind: "Religion is the opium of the poeple". Although I don't believe in Marxist ideology, his particular quote makes a good sense looking at these barbaric act of extremism.
