are you talking about H1B- 2009 ? or H1B-2010 ??
If you were in US last year, you should know what happened regarding H1B-2009. The quota exceeded within third days. And now, many lucky guys who were able to get it, are not getting job, and they are trying to go back to F1 or are still working at $7/hr at gas stations.
If you meant H1B-2010, we need to wait and see. Definitely there wont be that much applications as there was last year. So selection should not be that tough, however, .. time will tell. Wait for couple of weeks and the picture will be clear.
