If you are in States go to your county or police department and get the fingerprinting done. Yes, write Canadian Residency, shouldn' matter that much. Then mail that fingerprinting to FBI clearance address. Mine took 2-3 weeks before i got them so that shouldn't be a problem. I hope this helps.
