it does not take a rocket scientist to comprehend a simple logic that it's IMplausible, if not impossible, to pick and shoot four immediate family members in a family gathering of more than 20 guarded by armed security force. Now if someone does that in a "drunken" stupor; to me, it easily qualifies for a cheesy hindi flick's unconvincing murder plot. The reality has only to be distorted to make it through (forcefully).

I like to keep things simple(r). I don't claim to have a lot of gray matter up there. I tried hard (really hard) to believe that Dipendra was the real culprit who committed the crime while going on a severe psychotic rampage. But every time I tried to find the logic to weave the incident on my mind, I failed.

If he killed his father for all the differences they had and Nirajan to bring the overall institution down, why on earth did he need to shoot Shruti? Why did he spare Paras? Just coz he pleaded to let him go? What were other attendees and security officers doing while he was on the rampage? Why couldn't normal, non-toxicated people stop one drunken, psycho-murderer?
