I agree 100% with dapu....studied biology during undergrad...was engaged in research in college plus went to other universities during summer for research.....after graduated got a good job in biotech company with good salary.....and now am doing PhD.....its even great experience so far with everything including $$......so i would say if you really like the field and have true passion...go for it...u will earn good money too plus good reputation.....for college students please engage yourself in academic research from your freshman year and dont waste your time during summer by only working...try to get paid research internship....it will definitely count after you graduate....and land you in top graduate school..atleast it did for me.....
