So true, Arrogant and Racheeta. After being almost 4 years in biotech industry and getting some the feel of it. I really do not recommend anyone to study science. For any majors such as micro, biotech or biology, if you just plan on doing bachelor's please do not go for these. But if you aim on doing phd then its okay to proceed. You will not make lot of money with just bachelor's in these fields. Besides, with just BS, you wont be doing research as well, the way we often dream during our college days.

So my advise is go for engineering, IT or accounting, medicine, pharmacy anything that pays you well in long run. Even though, its not always about money, to an extent it is because one day you will have family, you will wanna have decent car, house and be able to go on vacations often. Making more money obviously gives you more flexibility financewise.

But, if you are so determined and have courage and passion for science, and would some day like to explore biology world with advanced degree, who knows you might be the next researcher to have breakthroughs in molecular biology or medical field.
