none of the above courses come separate. Unless you complete the course of above three your graduation is incomplete. The in depth concept may be different in extent though. Such as u will be doing cloning, PCR, flow, norther-southern atleast one of them or more which is biotechnology. Biotechnology doen't necessarily mean the only recombinant technology.

You will be doing antibody titer (if you choose animal microbilogy, I am not sure about plant pathology or disease), ChIP, Immunofluorescence, which might come both microbiology, biotechnology but you can consider it as immunology.

BTW,

Research in life science won't die and won't be affected by recession that much unless country is a complete failure. Moreover, you won't be doing marketing when you choose life sciences/biology so, regardless of money just hop in.
