I had run into a similar situation few months ago. I was bombarded by pop ups, and also browser windows closed without any warning not to mention the overall performance degradation and frequent lock ups. Both McAfee and Norton could detect the trojan but failed to completely remove it. I don't exactly remember what tool I used but I had downloaded it for free following a Wikipedia link after googling for vundo. Just google it and there are loads of forums.
