@Maverick:This thread got bad

>> Yes I agree, still wanted to ponder a few words.

@Sajhakohero:Just give me some examples or names of US graduates who came back to Nepal and is doing good.

>> You are simply wrong, Some have given a few names here and there are plenty of others. I know people who came to US in around 1958-59 and came back Nepal to serve the country. A lot of university professors in Nepal are US-returnees. Rest of your arguments and logics are simply worthless to respond, Sorry.

@Samsara:US universities get more per-capita grants for research than any other nation.

>> Not true yet, a few top Japanese Universities (Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka and Tohoku) have more research funds per capita than any other universities. Tokyo and Kyoto consumes almost 80% of total research budget allocated by the government whereas Osaka and Tohoku get huge budgets from R&D colaboration with world leading companies like Sony, Toyotoa, Mitsubishi group etc. However, this may change now as Obama is determined to pump more money in research, science and innovation. His recent stimulus package allocated $3.0 billion for NSF only, which is 5-time more than the NSF board was expecting. Researchers and scientists are fired up now. This is the change and once the budget reach to universities, the top-class US universitites may have more per-capita grants for research than any other nation.
