             has anyone informed Jhamke dai that help is on the way? That would give him and his family some relief.

P.S: When I heard about it, I had asked my parents to make a pledge directly to Jhamke dai. In the future though, I would be more than happy to contribute to a trust fund....."St. Xavier's Alumni Trust Fund" sounds great.
