Dr. Sukadev Sah might be a good candidate for this post as he is educated, have some experiences working abroad dealing with international communities and may love Nepal and might have helped to some particular or all Nepalese social/ethnic groups (just like Russian businessman Dr Upendra Mahato loves Nepal) more than many Nepalese residing in Nepal or abroad; but since he has already renounced the Nepali citizenship, it may be unacceptable to appoint him as an ambassador representing Nepali and Nepali government.

But, again if Dr. Upendra Mahato who does not have Nepalese citizenship is working as an ambassador for Belarus and all present and past Nepali governments and people are okay with him, why with this NRN Dr Sukdev Sah for the post of American ambassador? Main thing is that we should judge him based on his ability perform better for the betterment of Nepal and Nepali by working in the post than those past ambassadors such as Suresh Chalise or Yog Prasad Upadhya. Obviously, if there are any Nepali citizenship holder who can perform better and loves and helps Nepal and Nepali more than Dr Sah, he should be appointed. But, all those who were appointed or are going to be appointed as ambassadors for various countries are mostly because of their political affiliations and not because they are true lovers of Nepal.
