Mongol behind Pyuthan attack

KATHMANDU, Feb 12 - Home Secretary Govinda Kusum on Wednesday informed the State Affairs Committee that an armed outfit named Mongol Revenge Group, which claims to be the “new Maoist,†was involved in the attack at Syaulibang Police Office of Pyuthan.
The attackers had killed a police officer and looted a few weapons from the police post located 42 KM from district headquarter Khalanga on Friday night.
The team led by Secretary Kusum, including senior police officials, visited the site on Monday. He also said additional police force had been deployed in the area to probe the attack and nab the attackers.
