Irritated by Indian Media- a solid example

I don't even know this case and I have a newfound respect for how the man took a stance and did not budge from it despite the stupid reporter's repeated tries at thwarting him. He was right when he said that the media has its limits and its "Laxman Rekha" too. By the word "reporter" itself, it is clear to me what their duties are. From watching some Indian news channels in the past few years, I have become afraid whether it is these channels that are shaping public opinion or vice versa. I feel like it is becoming more and more unidirectional by the day. I hated the way his words were thrown back at him all mangled and twisted. This is why interviewers like the lady in this video need to go into the interview with an open mind and devoid of such a silly agenda. It's a long perpetuated discussion whether some criminals are entitled to defence in the court of law but the judiciary bodies would be disfunctional and obsolete if the media began to decide people's innocence. Public opinion has its own role and can shape state behavior in some ways but in this case the Indian media seems to have taken it upon themselves to be "gods". And that is simply unacceptable.

Nice post meek  misfit.
