I do not want to discuss on why you do not believe in GOD. Not interested to know either. But if I ask you a question...Do you BELIEVE in your friend? and Do you TRUST your friend? What could be your answer.

Do you see a difference? When you say You believe in your friend. You are not sure about him/her. BUT when you say you trust in your friend, you know exactly why do you trust him/her as you knew him/her so closely.

So, my point is when you believe in GOD, you simply believe in GOD, you have no reason to believe because we have been told to believe and seen our ancester believing GOD. You do not look for a reason to believe OK. I do not think you say 'you trust GOD' as you have not seen GOD. So Believing GOD is entirely yours.
