Nice job posting this. knew most of them, but I could not locate " c:\windows\prefetch" folder ? I wonder why that is ?

Couple of things I would like to add, which helps ( significantly, well not that significantly), is to disable " Themes" and " indexing"

Run> services.msc and disable these two.

Indexing files will help faster in searching for files.

Also, disable a lot of startup programs, I dont know why people still have realPlayer to Quicktime running at the background all the time.

P.S whats with the tweaking of IE, who uses that these days.
