Use torrent, you can get all those for free. There's a mantra among the audio software junkies, made popular by the so called GOD cracker who goes by the names H20,and the mantra is "Try before you buy"

Well I have nothing against Protools, but I do think they are over rated and over priced. Should the quality be better? Well if you look at the review and forum at different websites, it is clear MBox is NO better than any other interface at the price level. Of course Protool and Digidesign devices are the king when it comes to pro recording devices, mostly all proprieties, but I've read of many complaints of bugs in the LE version. My honest opinion will be to get a cheaper M-Audio interface instead and try it with Cubase or Sonar or Logic depending upon your OS, of course you can get Cubase, Nuendo and Sonar through torrent. But it all depends on you and your need.

Why don't you try
has more input/output, cheaper,USB 2 and M-Audio are known for rock solid products/drives/updates. I really had a bad experience with a firewire device, Presonus Firrebox. Anyway USB technology is doing better and looks like might kick out firewire in the future. It can be debated though.
